The Woodland Collection
This collection features rustic sweepers made with handles that I harvested myself from the woods behind my home. These handles are suprisingly strong and light weight that come from American Hornwood, also commonly known as “Muscle Wood”. They are hand bound with nylon twine and a mix of broomcorn for each one that was inspired by different things that I love about this time of year.
“Nocturnal” (pictured above) - my favorite colors found in the night sky this time of year, when all of our favorite mountain animals get into mischief.
“The Forager” - Warm colors that made me think of roots and old leaves crunching under my feet as I look for handles or mushrooms popping up in hidden places as I walk the trails.
“Spring Ephemeral” - The first delicate flowers of Spring that show up in the woods. A reminder of what is to come. Little pearls of beauty that if you aren’t paying attention you might miss.
