Hearthbroom with Woodland Handle

$85.00

Materials: wood, broomcorn, blackberry nylon twine, leather hanging loop. This hearth broom features a handle harvested from a fallen tree in the woods behind my home. The bark has been carefully removed to reveal the natural trails and markings left by insects and other woodland scavengers, each line telling part of the tree’s story before it was gathered.

Crafted using traditional Appalachian broom-making techniques, this broom honors both place and process. It is a working tool made from what the land offered, shaped for daily use, and intended to live close to the hearth.

Care & Use

Use to sweep hearths, stove fronts, and hard floors. Shake out ash and debris after use. Always hang by the leather hanging loop when not in use. Never store bristle-side down, as this can bend and weaken the broomcorn over time. Keep dry between uses. With regular use, the broomcorn will soften and the handle will develop a natural patina unique to your home.

Materials: hand harvested hardwood handle, natural broomcorn, blackberry nylon twine, leather hanging loop.

Dimensions: (By Hanging Loop) approx. 34”x9”x3”

Products ship on Mondays and Fridays each week.

No returns or exchanges accepted.
